Team Slovenia

The team members of the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Novo mesto working on the Well@School project have a vision to improve the promotion of mental health in children and adolescents.

We are driven by the idea that interdisciplinary integration is of utmost importance in the field of health sciences, as health sciences, social sciences and the so-called life sciences are closely intertwined. For this reason, our team is composed of representatives from different professional fields.

Karmen Erjavec, Researcher

Prof. Dr. Karmen Erjavec is Vice-Dean for Science and Research at the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Novo mesto. Her research and teaching interests include health communication, business communication and marketing.

Nevenka Kregar Velikonja, Researcher

Assist. Prof. Dr. Nevenka Kregar Velikonja, is Dean at the Faculty of the Health Sciences of the University of Novo mesto. She is a lecturer in biochemistry and other life science courses. She leads the development of new study programs at the Faculty. Her primary research background is in cell therapies and biotechnology. She also studied the prevalence of parasitic infections in the school population.

Ksenija Komidar, Researcher

Ksenija Komidar is Vice-Dean of Education at the Faculty Health Sciences of the University of Novo mesto. Her research and teaching interests include sociology of health. She is also involved in curriculum development.

Kristina Rakuša Krašovec, Researcher

Kristina Rakuša Krašovec is a lecturer in nursing, health education and ethics in nursing at the Faculty of the Health Sciences of the University of Novo mesto.

Sabina Krsnik, Researcher, Administrative support and communication

Sabina Krsnik, MSc of Business and Management is a coordinator of development research activities at the University of Novo mesto. In the project Well@School she works as a researcher and is also responsible for administrative support and communication.
